Bristol’s Contemporary Christmas
Vestibules Gallery is a distinctive environment in which to display some of Bristol’s best local contemporary crafts. Nestled in Bristol’s City hall which is a grade two listed building, access if easy just off central Park Street.
This will be a unique pop up showcasing high quality crafts, all carefully curated for you. Everyone showing is a maker based in Bristol so come see what’s going on behind studio doors. There will be jewellery, textiles, silverware and ceramics on show.
Information about each maker:
Eily O Connell is a prolific contemporary jeweller nurturing nature’s dark and light side captured in fine treasures, cast in precious metals and finished with unusual stones. Her style is unique, celebrating imperfection and unique form.
Emmeline Hastings is much celebrated Contemporary Jewellery designer and maker with a background in Sculpture and work in many personal collections. Her pieces are light and wearable with mysterious patterns of gold and silver seemingly organic to the form.
Alex Mc Carthy creates beautiful contemporary ceramic pieces with a harmonious connection between surface and form. The tactile qualities of his artefacts are inspired by textures that surround us such as; tree bark, natural rocks, cracking paint and even marine life.
